Reading fluency (15-30 mins):

  1. Read to self or read to someone (pet, doll, teddy, younger sibling…).

  • I can identify the main idea and supporting details
  • I can find the topic sentence and supporting details of a paragraph

Complete graphic organiser by printing it, completing it on Seesaw or ruling it up in your book.

Write down the TOPIC SENTENCE, MAIN IDEA and SUPPORTING DETAILS.


□ Spelling Fluency (10 minutes):

Independent Task: Sort the above words into the correct spellings

We are learning to write questions for an interview

Success Criteria:

  • I can make my interview interesting
  • I can use relevant information (from mind map) to create questions
  • I can ask THICK questions, rather than THIN questions
  • I can use appropriate language depending on who I’m interviewing

Today you are going to write 5-10 questions that you could ask for your interview based on ideas from your mind map yesterday.

Example:

Counting Fluency (10 mins): Practise quick recall of your assigned multiplication goal. Practice your skip counting pattern or times tables out of order. OR IXL Multiplication Skill Builders.

We are revising the four operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication & division)

Success Criteria:

  • I can complete subtraction problems
  • I can complete algorithms with renaming
