Week 10: Monday 13th September

Today you will have your Webex room open between 9:15am and 12:00pm. This will allow for direct instruction of the task and teacher modelling, student independent work time, feedback and share time along with extra small group support if needed.  We will cover reading, writing and maths lessons.  Throughout the morning Webex students will also enjoy several fun energiser activities with their classmates.  Below is a timetable of the morning:

Reading fluency (15-30 mins):

  1. Read to self or read to someone (pet, doll, teddy, younger sibling…).
  2. Choose a good fit book or Wushka text https://wushka.com.au/login/

Complete graphic organiser by printing it, completing it on Seesaw or ruling it up in your book.

Write down the TOPIC SENTENCE, MAIN IDEA and SUPPORTING DETAILS.

Mind Map for Interview

This week you are going to interview someone about their hobbies/interests.

Today you need to choose a person (someone in your house, someone you could make a phone call to etc.)

  • Mum/Dad
  • Grandma/Grandpa
  • Aunty/Uncle
  • Friend
  • Cousin

Generate a mind map of things about them. This will help you generate ideas for your questions tomorrow. 


Counting Fluency (10 mins): Practise quick recall of your assigned multiplication goal. Practice your skip counting pattern or times tables out of order. OR IXL Multiplication Skill Builders.

We are revising the four operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication & division)
