Reading fluency (15-30 mins):

  1. Read to self or read to someone (pet, doll, teddy, younger sibling…).

Look at the title of your assigned Wushka text.

Write down everything you know about this topic.

While reading, take not of new facts you have learnt after reading.

Today you are going to do a free write. You can write about anything you like in any style you like!

Her are some ideas to get you going:

  • A list of your favourite things
  • A comic
  • A letter to a friend or family member
  • A labelled picture of your favourite animal


Counting Fluency (10 mins): Practise quick recall of your assigned multiplication goal. Practice your skip counting pattern or times tables out of order. OR IXL Multiplication Skill Builders.

Success Criteria:

  • I can find the angles of letters
  • I can find right, obtuse or acute angles
  • I can use a protractor to find the angles

Hook:

Independent Learning Task:

Angles Drawing

Using a ruler to draw a series of crisscrossed lines on your page. Now measure any angles you have created with your homemade protractor and label your drawing.

Enabling: Write acute, obtuse or right

Extending: Use your protractor to measure the angles in degrees.
