Independent Learning Task:

Make a poster that teaches others how to ask, “RUOK?”

Include the 4 steps:
1. Ask (Ask your friend if they are ok?)
2. Listen (Let your friend tell you how they feel.)
3. Encourage action (Tell a teacher or trusted adult.)
4. Check in (Ask your friend if they are feeling better.)

Think about what images and other information you might like to include – get creative!


Reading fluency (15-30 mins):

  1. Read to self or read to someone (pet, doll, teddy, younger sibling…).
  2. Choose a good fit book or Wushka text https://wushka.com.au/login/

We are learning to differentiate between what is prior knowledge and new information.

Success Criteria:

  • I can differentiate between what is known and new information

□ Independent Learning Task:

Before watching the video, write all you know about a sugar glider’s family and babies.

□ Spelling Fluency (10 minutes):

Independent Task: Put each of your words into a sentences to show your understanding of the word. Try and create an interesting, descriptive sentence! Remember to use capital letters and full stops.

Example:

What had the hairdresser done? It was a disaster!

We are learning to jazz up sentences by adding details

Success Criteria:

  • I can jazz up sentences by adding details
  • I can add adjectives
  • I can add verbs
  • I can add adverbs
  • I can add a prepositional phrase

Complete the worksheet posted on Seesaw by up-levelling the sentences. If you can’t print the sheet, simply write the up-levelled sentences in your homework book.


Counting Fluency (10 mins): Practise quick recall of your assigned multiplication goal. Practice your skip counting pattern or times tables out of order. OR IXL Multiplication Skill Builders.

Angles in Names

Today you are going to write your name and then measure the angles the lines make. Make sure you write your name in large, neat, capital letters.
