Week 9: Monday 6th August

Please take a photo of the work you complete and send it to your teacher via your Home Learning Code on your Class Seesaw app.

Today you will have your Webex room open between 9am and 12:00pm. This will allow for direct instruction of the task and teacher modelling, student independent work time, feedback and share time along with extra small group support if needed.  We will cover reading, writing and maths lessons.  Throughout the morning Webex students will also enjoy several fun energiser activities with their classmates.  Below is a timetable of the morning:

Reading fluency (15-30 mins):

  1. Read to self or read to someone (pet, doll, teddy, younger sibling…).
  2. Choose a good fit book or Wushka text https://wushka.com.au/login/

Your teacher will read today’s information report to you during your WebEx meeting. There is also a recording of Mrs Kenwright reading the paragraph below in case you need to refer back to it for more information.

Complete graphic organiser by printing it, completing it on Seesaw or ruling it up in your book. Take notes on what you know about the topic BEFORE you listen to your teacher read on WebEx, and then new facts you learnt AFTER you listen.


□ Spelling Fluency (10 minutes):

Independent Task: Sounds in polysyllabic words

Underline the individual sounds and the syllables in each word.

DICTATION

Dictation will be completed on Webex today. Have your homework book and pen/pencil ready @ 10:00am


Counting Fluency (10 mins): Practise quick recall of your assigned multiplication goal. Practice your skip counting pattern or times tables out of order. OR IXL Multiplication Skill Builders.
