Reading fluency (15-30 mins):

  1. Read to self or read to someone (pet, doll, teddy, younger sibling…).

□ Independent Learning Task:

Listen to your teacher read a paragraph from Fauna on the blog. Fill in the graphic organiser on Seesaw, by printing it or writing in your homework book.


□ Spelling Fluency (10 minutes):

Independent Task: Today you are going to write your words in interesting sentences.

  • We are learning to publish an informational interview

Success Criteria:

  • I can write an interview including questions and answers
  • I can include the main points of the interview
  • I can delete unnecessary information
  • I can present my work neatly to engage the reader

Independent Writing Task:

Today you are going to write up your interview as a published piece. See below for an example of what it may look like.

You may not need to include all that is said, but rather just the important pieces of information.

You can complete this work in your homework work, on a separate piece of paper, on Seesaw or on your computer.


Counting Fluency (10 mins): Practise quick recall of your assigned multiplication goal. Practice your skip counting pattern or times tables out of order. OR IXL Multiplication Skill Builders.
