Brainiacs!!

Today we have been learning about the different parts of our brain, including the names of the different parts and what each part is in charge of. We made our own brain hats that show the different parts.

During the last two weeks we have been looking at and creating our own acrostic poems. This is one that we made about GRADE 2 as a whole class.

Great at working as a team.
Really fast at recess.
Always awesome at writing acrostic poem.
Don’t fight and use our time wisely.
Enjoy eating with others.

Today we have been learning about our brain including long term and short term memory. At the start of the lesson we were given a test, in the test we had to remember a list of words. Most of us could only remember 5. In groups we then sorted the words into categories, we were amazed how many words we could remember at the end!
This is the test, see how many you can remember after looking at them for 1 minute.

The Chinese New Year is from February 8th to February 24th. We have been learning about the New Year in Chinese class and have sang this song in music.

Specialists and important activities that occur each week;

– Monday= Music
– Tuesday= Show and tell, Library
– Wednesday= PE and Chinese
– Friday= House meetings and Assembly
