Term 3 has started with a bang already seeing some WONDERFUL results for our
WOODFORD WINTER SPORTS TEAMS.

During the district sports day ALL our teams ( soccer /t-ball /footy & netball) performed excellently, showing fantastic sportsmanship and having a great time RUNNING AROUND IN THE MUD!
(Thanks for our wonderful mums for washing filthy footy jumpers!)

The footy and netball teams fought past their opponents – and the horrible weather – to win through into the divisional sports day.

On that occasion those teams PERFORMED AMAZINGLY to show brilliant teamwork and had a lot of fun challenging themselves against the Warrnambool /Camperdown & Port Fairy bigger schools.
The footy team really took it up to St.Joey’s, holding the lead for much of the first half, before St.Joey’s took advantage of the wind and kicked 5 goals in the second half.

Highlights for the day included “Bobby’s” great work in the ruck, “Dookie” running it out of the backline and bombing goals, “boydy’s” screamer in the goal square, and Jye Barker taking a great grab and booting a torpedo for an unlikely point!

well done sports’ stars!!

Everyone ate lots of lollies and had a great time. Which is most important 🙂
