Write something in your jar that you might see in a happy dream.

How would you explain your dream to a friend?

Think about:

  • Where, when, who and why.
  • What is the mood of your dream? (Happy, sad, excited, worried, etc)

What describing words could use to make it sound amazing.

Practice your counting goal for five minutes.

Explore and experiment making different polygons.

  1. Make shapes using matchsticks.
  2. Stick shapes onto a piece of paper.
  3. Label the vertices and edges (sides) on each polygon.
  4. Stick sheet into your workbook.

Expectations: Make at least 10-15 shapes.

                  1. Click on Activities
                  2.  Click on
                  3. Start the task by entering your spelling word in the first column.
                  4. Write the definition of your word in the second column.
                  5. Spin the wheel by pushing play and tap the screen to stop the wheel.
                  6. if the wheel lands on ‘synonym’, add a synonym to the third column, OR if the wheel lands on antonym, add an antonym to the third column.
                  7. Add all of your spelling words to the grid.
                  8. Push the green arrow to submit your work.

Poetry
Incorporate the information you have learnt about Lunar New Year from this news story into a poem. Use your amazing writing and vocabulary skills to capture the spirit of the celebration. Think about including references to what your senses might experience during the event.

This piece can be completed in a NOTE on Seesaw, in your homework book, or you can present it any way you like.

Writing: We are all different, we are all unique!

Watch the video above and think about what makes you, you. In your homework book, write a detailed paragraph describing your qualities, characteristics and uniqueness. 

Remember to include:

  • Detailed sentences
  • Descriptive language
  • Correct punctuation
  • Paragraph Structure (Topic Sentence, 3 to 4 supporting sentences, and a conclusion sentence.) See diagram below.
