Success Criteria: I can talk about what has happened in the story. I can  talk about and order the events that have occurred in the story.

Success Criteria:

  • I can think about the size of my writing.
  • I can start each letter in the correct staring position.
  • I can use the lines (if using the paper provided) to assist with the position and size of letters.

Handwriting- Writing sight words
Select a range of sight words that you have been reading this week (Beginning Sight Words or Oxford Word List) Write these words onto your lined paper. Use the alphabet photos to help with the correct formation of your letters including starting the letter in the correct position and thinking about the overall size of each letter.

  • Use the template below to count all the bugs in the picture.
  • Record your findings using the graph (or draw your own graph if not using the template).

Grade 1-

  • Create a tally when counting all items in the picture. When you reach a total of five items, draw a line through the first four marked. This will make it easier to add your total when finished. An example is below.
